Information we collect

As a customer, we will hold the following information on you:
  • Your name, email address, and potentially a shipping address
  • Information about what products you have ordered from us
  • Payment information as recorded by our payment providers
Our web site generates log files which can include your IP address (logging is kept to a minimum).
We may also have records of any emails exchanged with you.

Use of data

Our use of your data is regulated by Article 6 of the EU's General Data Protection Regulations "Lawfulness of Processing".

Providing you with the services you buy from us

We use the information we collect to provide our products to you, and so that we can receive payment for those products.

Accountancy, licensing and tax purposes

We retain information on your purchases in order to pay the correct taxes and licensing fees to Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone.

Responding to binding requests from courts, law enforcement and other agencies

In the unlikely event that we are served with a binding order which relates to you, we will be required to process your personal data to be able to comply with it.

Technical data

We may use the logs from our servers to identify problems, to determine visitor behaviour, and to help us plan a business strategy (such as working out if marketing efforts have resulted in an increase in traffic).

Mailing list

We run a mailing list which you can subscribe to if you wish. We only add you to the list if you have explictly given your permission, and you can leave it at any time by contacting us via our enquiries page.

Your rights

You have lots of rights in respect of our retention and usage of your data:
  • the right to information about how we retain and use your data - as described here!
  • the right to find out what personal data we hold about you
  • the right to have inaccurate data corrected
  • the right to have your data erased
  • the right to complain to a supervisory authority (obviously we will try to put right anything we have got wrong long before you need to do that)

Third parties

We use a number of third parties to help provide our services to you:
  • SendOwl - used for managing orders and delivering downloads
  • Stripe - provider for credit & debit card payments
  • PayPal - provider of payment services

This statement will be updated over time; when a change occurs this will be flagged up in the site's footer.
